Researcher Shan-Hong Zhang of project partner China Agricultural University is today’s featured researcher. Shan-Hong recently briefed the AquaDetector team about ongoing CFD modelling work at the August Technical Meeting. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling is a useful computer-based tool that can simulate the behavior of various water quality parameters in a given RAS environment, without even having to fill a tank with water. Once the modelling stage is complete, Shan-Hong’s simulation will be compared with real-time observations in the onsite greenwater RAS facility.
